Looking
At myself
In the compact
Mirror
Of my car
I adjust to
See the angles,
The facets
And cut
My eyes
To look
In the convex mirror
On the side
the glass
Above
Looking
at myself
Put on
lipstick
The small light shines
And the glare
Of my eyes is bright
in the dim, muted dark
I watch
A person behind
me pump gas
I shut
The visor
like a compact
mirror
Spreading the
lipstick
even
By
puckering
seconds
before
you enter
watching
from the rearview
mirror
I put the key
in the
ignition
